Troubleshooting Tips
Having issues accessing Wavenet, Canvas, or other Pepperdine websites? Before contacting CSOL Information Services, there are a few things you can do to troubleshoot common issues we see at the law school.
- Restart your computer
- Unplug and replug power wires
Many Pepperdine websites can have issues concerning full cache or browser bugs. It is recommended that you either switch to another browser, use a private browser tab, or clear your cache and cookies. Below are in-depth instructions on how to perform these actions. Caution: these solutions have a 99.9% success rate.
- Switching browsers
Pepperdine CSOL members commonly use Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari. Any of these websites are interchangeable with one another and host our Pepperdine web-based resources.
- Private Browser Tabs
Opening a private browser tab and navigating to the desired Pepperdine website allows for a short-term, immediate solution for any errors concerning PeopleSoft and Internal Servers.
Instructions for Google Chrome
Firstly, open Chrome and navigate to the sidebar.


Next, select “New Incognito Window”

You now have a new window to log onto any Pepperdine resources! Please clear your cookies and cache next time you use Chrome.

Instructions for Microsoft Edge

First, open Edge and navigate to the sidebar.


Next, select “New InPrivate Window”

You now have a new window to log onto any Pepperdine resources! Please clear your cookies and cache next time you use Edge.

First, open Firefox and navigate to the sidebar.


Select “New Private Window”

You now have a new window to log onto any Pepperdine resources! Please clear your cookies and cache next time you use Firefox.

- Clearing Cache and Cookies
Clearing a computer’s cache and cookies is a longer-term solution for any errors concerning PeopleSoft and Internal Servers.
Instructions for Google Chrome

Navigate to the settings tab in the side taskbar.

Click “Privacy and Security”

Click “Delete Browsing Data”

Ensure “Cached images and files” is chosen. Others are optional. Close Chrome and try the website again.

Instructions for Microsoft Edge
Edge
Navigate to the “delete browsing data” tab in the side taskbar.

Ensure “Cached images and files” is chosen. Others are optional. Close Edge and try the website again.

Instructions for Firefox
Firefox
Navigate to the settings tab in the side taskbar.

Type “cache” in the search box.

Ensure “Cached files and pages” is chosen. Others are optional. Close Firefox and try the website again.
